Walter Usai

Walter Usai is a ceramist from Assemini, a town with a tradition of ceramics in Sardinia.

The story of Ceramiche Usai began in 1840 with the great-great-grandfather Efisio, whose inheritance was collected by Mr. Elvio, who transmitted the passion to his son Walter. And it is Walter who today proudly carries on the family tradition.

In the workshop of Walter Usai you enter a unique reality, immersed in a space/time dimension of its own. While the lathe rotates constantly, as a soundtrack to the days, the creations dry in the courtyard, caressed by the mistral, as if time had stopped last century.

An element that characterizes the production of the Sardinian ceramist tying him in an indissoluble way and absolutely referable to his land is a color: the color of the sea, in all its nuances is a constant in the creations of Walter.

Unique creations, made of water, clay and passion that combine the teachings of the past to modern research without sacrificing quality or attention to detail, on the contrary, enhancing them.
