Jan Ankiersztajn is a product designer born in 1990 who graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2016 with a degree in Contextual Design. He established his eponymous studio in Poznan, Poland, where he creates furniture and sculptural objects that explore materiality and sensory experiences through minimalist design. Ankiersztajn’s designs range from seating and tables to jugs and bowls, all of which exude a modern yet primeval aesthetic.

Ankiersztajn’s approach to design is centered on the interplay between workshop constraints and design ideas. He is fascinated by the continuous verification of ideas through the construction of numerous prototypes, which he views as three-dimensional sketches. He is dedicated to perfecting his craft and performs all projects independently. Ankiersztajn has developed a proprietary technique for constructing objects from aluminum, which involves a complex and experimental process that belies their simple forms.
