Sand Vase 5

The Sand collection was one of the designer’s texture search works. She aplicated a very dry glaze to get an extremely rough texture outside of the vases. The decorating in high relief was inspired by Onggi decorating techniques(Korean traditional earthenware) after a trip for residency in Master Hyang jong Oh´s studio.

The sand texture with the lines in high relief creates shadows that give the vases depth on the surface.
