Raku Tea Table IV

The Raku Tea Table IV is a joyful piece which combines very different traditions. A handcrafted wooden hexagon surrounds a white raku tile, which reveals a microphotograph of a snow crystal. The small table arises on two antique table legs coming from the 19th century. These legs provide stability together with very light but resistant carbon fibres.

The uniqueness of this table comes from the antique objects used and the individuality of the raku tile. Its playful form and unusual combination of antique elements bring a contemporary sensibility to the piece. Snow, fire and wood are all incorporated in this series.
