Dream Journey II

Dream Journey II is an interesting light made in a shape of an umbrella. Several dreams come together in this wonderful object. The dream of flying and touching the stars, like in Méliès’ movie “Vers les étoiles” (1906). The dream of easy traveling, like in the famous movie “Mary Poppins” (1964). The research of objects in old movies which make dream and fly led to the cycle “Dream Journey”. The way to use material in combination with non-material that is similar to the technique of film celluloid, so frames which are positive and negative, permits the use of light in a different way also in design. Objet d’art which become functional for daily life are the result.
