This collection captures an essential relationship between individuals, society and design. The material and the process symbolically describe this relationship. A single reed stem represents the individual’s position. As part of a bundle, one reed stem composes a social unit. By incorporating design into this mix, the bundle strengthens and transforms. Reed stems are collected, assembled and bound together, reinforcing each other collectively
