Dermapoliesis Trees are emotional maps that depict the emotions and feelings of plants. Since 2023, Matteo Cibic has been dedicated to portraying plants, using colorful pigments and threads as his medium. The foliage of the trees is shaped into organic forms and woven in Rajasthan, India, by the skilled artisans of the Jaipur Rugs Foundation, who meticulously knot them by hand, point by point. Each canopy is then combed and carved to create high and low textures, using threads made of wool and bamboo silk. Meanwhile, the trunks are crafted from solid wood, sculpted in Cibic’s studio in Vicenza, Italy
