Cabinet in Barn wood
The Beam Cabinet No.16 is part of Piet Hein Eek’s Beam collection. Designed to resemble a pile of stacked beams, this piece rests on an beam plinth. Its geometric pattern strongly contrasts the roundness of wood striations.
Fitted into the exterior body, an interior cupboard in plywood hides behind the solid wood. In this way, fixtures remains out of sight. Wood guided the creation of this design. The measurements, the solution for the skirting, and the concealed handles are all examples of this process.
Due to the nature of the material used in production, each piece is one-of-a-kind and the images are purely indicative
