Benedetta Mori Ubaldini is known for her signature wire work. Each piece starts life as industrially produced wire mesh which is gradually shaped by hand, twisting and joining the pieces together to give a seamless appearance. “What I love is creating three dimensional pictures; I want to fill large spaces with narratives and I like them to be evocative and poetic”. The installation “ What would I be without you” , created specifically for RO Collectible Design 2021 is presented as an oneiric creature filled landscape, an homage to Animals from a purely aesthetic point of view to their most symbolic qualities, evoking unspoken emotions, ancient totemic powers and with out which human kind would not exist.
