Reimagined Waste: Art, Light & Legacy
In the 17th century, artists spent years painting flowers, studying each bloom to create an impossible bouquet. ArtPlant revives this concept using discarded plastic flowers from thrift shop trash, pressed onto a base of recycled refrigerator interiors. Waste becomes a new material, shaped through heat and pressure into a solid, painterly surface. The work highlights our drive to perfect and preserve nature, questioning humanity’s obsession with immortality. By transforming trash into art, ArtPlant exposes the paradox of striving for an eternal paradise through artificial means.
