Aluminum Bowl

The bowl is crafted from two precisely shaped shells that are meticulously hammered and welded together along the edges to create a seamless vessel. The volume of the bowl is determined by the width of the flange.

During welding, the pressure of air trapped inside the enclosed solid increases, so the geometry requires an opening through which the air can escape so that the process can be performed safely. The tiny hole, which resembles a navel, has become the author’s trademark. It’s derived from the original technique of production and can be spotted next to author’s engraved signature on the outer shell.

Each piece is hand signed and sequentially numbered.
