Superelipse Dining Table
Design by Bruno Mathsson and Piet Hein
Presenting the masterpiece of the collaboration between Bruno Mathsson and Piet Hein: the dining table The Modern Scandinavian Superellipse. Produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark, it boasts a mark of authenticity. Made with chrome, metal, and wood, it exudes timeless elegance. Bruno Mathsson (1907–1988) is one of Sweden’s leading furniture designers, having learned furniture carpentry early from his master-carpenter father. His first design, the Grasshopper chair from 1931, was initially unpopular but is now considered a classic. Mathsson later exhibited in Gothenburg and the Paris World Fair (1937). His timeless designs blend style and comfort, with famous works including the Jetson armchair and the Superellipse table, the latter designed in collaboration with Piet Hein.
