Gio Minelli

Born in Italy in 1976, Gio Minelli graduated in 2003 at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. After graduating in painting he immediately begins to concentrate on design and to create limited edition collections, working on different styles and materials until 2017. Having been always sensitive to the issue of sustainability and the impact that his work as an artist and designer can have on the environment, he decides to focus on the research and development of new composite materials from the circular economy, which lead him to collaborate in important interregional projects of the European community. Gio Minelli stands out precisely for his ability to bring concrete results, combining
elegance, functionality, and sustainability, through his artistic talent and research. The contact and the realization of each of his pieces is fundamental for Minelli, transferring part of himself into each of them. He creates objects that draw inspiration from the material they are made of and from the forms of nature. In the latest collections, he recovers used boats, wind turbines and fiberglass artefacts, transforming waste into pieces that seem to come from a new world, an organic and colorful mutation of nature that seems to have digested and transformed what man has abandoned. His pieces are found in various private collections.
