Vaso elefante
Vaso elefante is a work that draws inspiration from the elephant mask used in the Bamiléké society that populates the western part of Cameroon, where I come from. The idea is to transform this elitist object of great spiritual workmanship into a functional design object, while maintaining the significant characteristics of the mask. This occurs through the reversal of the shape and the use of ceramic as a support. It is a mask that transmits authority, wealth, strength, and wisdom to those who wear it and gives the ability to mediate between man and nature. Three-dimensional geometry in the form of bricks symbolizes elevation and abundance. The imposing dimensions of the vase and the almost hypnotic effect of the handles allude to power. The turtle symbolizes wisdom, longevity, and caution, while the gecko is an emblem of adaptability, willpower, and regeneration. This vase is an object that can be divided into autonomous parts and offers various compositional possibilities
this object, depending on the layout chosen, must be installed from bottom to top. if you want to use the lampshade setup, we recommend fixing the lamp holder with two drops of silicone.
