Ceramicist Victor Fotso Nyie was born in Cameroon and currently lives and works in Faenza, Italy. His artistic research addresses the themes of cultural and ideological diversity. His ceramic sculptures draw parallels between his homeland of Africa and the contemporary globalised world. In 2020 Victor participated in the BHMF artist residency programme at the OCAD University in Florence. He has exhibited in various museums, foundations and art spaces, including Museo MAGI’900, Museo d’Arte della città di Ravenna, P420 Art Gallery,
La Priorità di San Lorenzo in Montelupo Fiorentino, Art Forum Contemporary, Cinema Astoria in Ravenna, Casa Cini Ferrara, and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cento.
His artistic research led him to collaborate with various ceramic artists, including Bertozzi & Casoni and Bottega Gatti. His talent was soon noticed, so much so that he has already inaugurated a solo exhibition at the Carlo Zauli Museum in Faenza. Victor is the winner of the Artigiano del Cuore 2021 competition
