She – paperclip outdoor chair

For the designer and craftsman Hans Endendijk, form is the starting point, and the comfortable chair ‘SHE’ is living proof. The fluid dynamism of its lines comes from an exclusive technique mastered by the Dutch designer known as ‘Spanhout’. The wood slats that compose the structure are connected to one another, like pearls on a necklace, through an invisible steel wire that holds them taut and molds its silhouette. Conceived for the outdoors, the object is realized in modified wood and lives in contrast between the material’s solidity and the soft sinuosity of its image.
