Old Tubes Armchair
Mainly made with discarded tubing and fabrics, the Old Tubes Armchair is an interesting example of upcycled design. The particular structure of these armchairs results from the combination of several old pipes, which create a specific composition. These pipes sustain a comfortable seat and backrest, both upholstered with used army tent fabric.
Piet Hein Eek reclaimed old pipes from his own old workshop building as well as other buildings. The Old Tubes collection pieces made from these pipes are limited edition due to the one-of-a kind nature of the materials.
