The “Study” Collection, by the Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell are unveiling the process that, starting from an idea leads to a finished piece.
Nacho Carbonell’s particular way of creating must go through different steps, starting from sketches on paper, going on to 3D models made by metal wire to reach a final mock up which is often made from different materials found round his studio – This is why each Study represents a specific step in the developing of an idea and each finished piece is a frozen moment of the designer’s creative process.
Some of these “studies” have succeed to become real pieces and have been shown in worldwide Art and Design Exhibitions .
Several Study Pieces have been part of the Exhibition “3 YEARS” at Galleria Rossana Orlandi, Milano, in 2011.
Nacho Carbonell likes to see objects as living organisms, imagining them coming alive and being able to surprise you with their behaviour. He wants to create objects with his hands, then he can give them his personality. Nacho turns them into communicative objects that can arouse one’s sensations and imagination. What he wants to create are objects with a fictional or fantasy element, that allow you to escape everyday life.
