Non Mollare Mai is a wall piece/assemblage by Damiano Spelta. Damiano Spelta’s works are balancing between design object and a piece of art. He takes inspiration from everyday life, from status – simbol pieces, yearned and acclaimed by those subliminal messages that dominate our life. His creations are almost always of large dimensions and are revisited in pop-art key, what is redisining the meaning and transforming the use and the content of the objects.
Whether they are design objects, paintings or assemblages, all are caracterized by the immediate empathy. But beyond the purely aesthetic and ironic effect, there is a knowledgeable reflection on the contemporary world with it’s contradictions, with it’s delusions and obsessions, a mirror reflection of who we would perhaps be compared to who we really are.
Damiano Spelta’s work is conceived in an articulated artistic way, an art that first of all has to be an idea and consequently a functional piece, assemblages, design, airbrush paintings on surfaces of all kind, boat shells, helmets, cars and more. His art is inspired by the ideology of Dadaism and can be considered as pertaining to Pop Art for its unholy irony.View designer’s page
