Bloom chair was a part of collection presented by Rossana Orlandi during Salone del Mobile 2014 at Bagatti Valsecchi Palace in Milan. The goal was to show how modern pieces can have a fabulous dialogue with an old palace by creating perfect contrast and harmony.
Wonmin Park’s furniture acts like sculpture, in that it demands to be looked at and visually appreciated. To maximize the visual appeal of his pieces, Park uses resin, a material that is not highly suitable for practical items such as furniture. Although Park’s furniture also stimulates our sense of touch, it functions more directly as a visual symbol, reminiscent of an abstract painting.
