This two seater bench intended for interior use is made of an old cast iron frame coming from France from the end of the 19th century. As the antique has something of a frozen moment, the sitting is made of frosted plexiglass and the seatback shows images related to trees and snow, to ice and floral wall decorations – intended to be an extension of nature.
HILLSIDEOUT adheres to its vision of furnishings by bringing an external element from the land into interiors.
Hillsideout [antique art design] is a joint project by Andrea Zambelli and Nat Wilms which came to life in 2009 out of a mutual concern and discomfort for the degradation of abandoned sites in the Italian Apennines. Hillsideout expresses the need to transform the state of uselessness but also forgotten stories into practical functionality.View designer’s page
