“Armadillo” is manufactured locally using recovered material and traditional tecniques. Encased in Glass, “Armadillo” evokes a “Cabinet de Curiositès”. The recycled polished steel and recovered black rubber used in the framing along with up-cycled wheels and steel mesh of the accordion mechanism suggest a modern interpretation of biomimicry. True to the designer’s work, sustainability is brought about in a surprising and unconverntional way.
